Calling Kyneton Home

kyneton land for sale

Lisa Smith grew up in the Macedon Ranges and has recently purchased a block of land at Kyneton On Riverside. We spoke to her about why she and her family have decided to make the move from Woodend to Kyneton.

Lisa’s reasons for wanting to head up the highway to the regional town speak to many different aspects of her life. She describes the country town as a “thriving, buzzing community with excellent restaurants, [and] medical facilities” that “provides an excellent quality of life”. Kyneton is known for its hub of award-winning eateries, a close-knit community, and a broad range of services.

Lisa came across Kyneton on Riverside when she was looking to purchase land in the area.

“Driving in, it had an instant homely feel about it,” she says. The town gives the promise of a lifestyle that is relaxed and safe – an ideal place to bring children up. In addition, the two local high schools, one of which Lisa’s daughter will attend, are easily accessible by foot from their property.

The Masterplan gave Lisa even more assurance of opportunities to connect with her own and neighbouring families. She says, “We are looking forward to the walking tracks alongside the Campaspe River and making the most of parklands with BBQ facilities and equipment purpose-built for kids”.

The location is perfect for Lisa’s occupation. As a registered nurse, Lisa works at both the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Drake Medox in Bendigo. Kyneton is ideal as it is easily commutable to both cities. What’s more, the Kyneton on Riverside estate is a convenient, short walk to the station.

Lisa was also impressed with the building guidelines, which ensure the preservation of the heritage character of Kyneton, and the consistent quality and style of the houses to be built across the neighbourhood.

Kyneton On Riverside offers more than just a property, it offers a lifestyle and community that will continue to flourish as the years go by. Lisa is looking forward to building a beautiful house and sums up the feeling of Kyneton in a simple sentence, “I couldn’t think of a better town to call home”.
