Here’s How To Spoil Your Mum At Home This Mother’s Day

We are set for a slightly different Mother’s Day this May but that doesn’t mean that it can’t still be special. We gathered some ideas of how to spoil your mum at home. We have no doubt that she is well deserving of delicious treats, timely rest and good, old fashioned pampering.

Surprise Mum with a Drink or Meal: If coffee is your mum’s drink of choice, why not make a special trip to her favourite cafe on Mother’s Day? It will be a welcome surprise after her long sleep in. You could go all out and grab her a takeaway breaky or give the gift of deliciousness for lunch or dinner too. Here are some great local eateries where you can purchase something for Mother’s Day:

However, with schools and kindergartens being facilitated from home this year, that means it is up to the folks at home to remember to make one. Why not have everyone write their favourite thing about Mum on the card?

Cook Up a Storm: Nothing says ‘I love you’ like the quintessential Mother’s Day breakfast in bed. Wow, your mum with your best baked eggs, omelette or piping hot porridge. Or save your culinary skills to cook Mum a lunch or dinner to remember.

Give Mum the Day Off: Mums have a full plate at the moment Some are juggling housework, paid work and facilitating their children’s learning at home. Give Mum time to herself to do whatever she loves most: reading, crafting, watching movies, catching up with her friends, gardening or exercising. And don’t leave all the jobs for her to do the next day. Get stuck into those too.
