Kyneton Library: Supporting the community through isolation

There is no better time than now to escape into a book. With winter settling in and Stage 3 Restrictions in force in the Macedon Ranges, it is the perfect time to snuggle up in a warm spot at home and read. Whilst our Goldfields Libraries have had to close as of Thursday 6 August and look as though they will not reopen until at least Sunday 13 September, there are still opportunities to access various library resources.

The Kyneton Library, along with the other branches in the area, has a catalogue of online books, movies, magazines, newspapers and history resources on their website. Best of all, they are all free to access. The library is also hosting a variety of online events during isolation to cater to their community. Whether you want to: discuss contentious topics; learn how to use phone applications; or investigate Australian Indigenous Astronomy, there is always something new to discover. Children can access their usual Library Storytime online as well.

Keep up to date via the Kyneton Library’s Facebook page as well as through their website. We look forward to being able to return to the library at a later date.
